232.5 ml of 0.0384 M aqueous manganese(III) oxide solution reacts with 1.058 g of solid octahedral sulfur (S8) and the water to give sulfurous acid and a manganese(II) oxide precipitate. You may assume no volume changes in the reaction from solution effects and that the amount of water equals the volume of the dilute aqueous solution. a) Write the formulas for each reactant and product. b) Write the oxidation and reduction half reactions. c) Find the limiting reactant. d) How many moles of each excess reactant was consumed? e) How many moles of each product formed? f) Identify the reducing agent in this reaction.
