BEGINNING
1. Explain the purpose of the business.
- Does the company operate on a profit or non-profit basis? Explain your answer with details.
- Re-examine the company's mission statement. How does their mission statement exhibit this statement now and in the future? If not, why doesn't it?
- Where is the business located and how many locations are there?
2. Investigate and exhibit the evolution of business you selected by creating a timeline, Select 2-3 major events throughout history that have changed the business.
- Provide a chronological history of your business. Use no more than 10 significant events.
3. Discuss how capitalism's four basic rights are illustrated in the operations of this business.

- What form of economic environment does this company operate (ex: monopolistic competition versus oligopoly, etc.)
4. What role does the government play in the operations of the business?
5. Describe the legal form of the business and indicate some of the advantages/disadvantages of the form.
6. How has this business exhibited corporate citizenship and responsibility of business in society?
7. Describe any "green" concepts the business might be using or plan on using in the future.
8. Identify at least two ways that social responsibility can benefit consumers
9. If you believe a company should "go green", should a company spend more money communicating their "green-ness?" Why or why not?
10. You have been given the charge to suggest a "green" initiative that your chosen company could or should implement. How do you determine what green initiative is the best one to choose?
11. Give your opinions on what you think the difference is between law and ethics. Do not research this. This is your opinion - be aware of your assumptions and the perceptions.
12. Now, spend some time researching both law and ethics and report on the difference between the two. Did your assumptions change based on you what you found through your research?

- Discuss any current news events that might impact the internal and external environment of the business. Did the news change your perceptions or opinion about this business? Why or why not?

Reflection
A. You may have known something about this company when the project started; so after this investigation identify three things you didn't know about (maybe it is a product, market, legal or environmental issue it is dealing with, ethical perspective, how it financed growth, technical issues it is dealing with, etc.) and reflect on how they impact the business model.
