Your company is in the middle of a new database development project for a business intelligence system, and your manager, the director of marketing, has asked you to explain the ongoing phases of the project in nontechnical terms.

(a) Explain the purpose and major activities of the implementation and loading phase of the database life cycle in a way that is understandable to the director of marketing, including how the marketing department may be involved in this phase.
