Please look at the following dividend announcement press release:

DIVIDEND ANNOUNCEMENT: January 02, 2020

Johnson & Johnson (NYSE:JNJ) on 01/02/2020 declared a dividend of $ 0.9500 per share payable on March 10, 2020 to shareholders of record as of February 25, 2020.

Johnson & Johnson (NYSE:JNJ) has paid dividends since 1944, has a current dividend yield of 2.6050593853% and has increased its dividends for 57 successive years.

(a) Using the above announcement as a specific example, please explain the process of payment of dividends, citing specifically what happens on each date (and perhaps explain the rationale why it is so).

(b) Also, explain the rationale behind including the last sentence in the press release above (in blue font). Why not merely just say what the dividend is and not add any more info else?
