Medical Diagnosis: Parkinson's Disease
Mr. Adam Park, a 65-year-old male, presents with progressively worsening motor symptoms over the last two months. He experiences resting tremors, bradykinesia, muscle rigidity, and postural instability. He also reports mild cognitive changes, sleep disturbances, mood changes, and constipation. His family doctor has referred him to a neurologist. The neurologist diagnosis Mr. Park with Parkinson's disease.
His past medical history includes hypertension and hyperlipidemia. He does not always take his prescribed medications and rarely visits his GP.
There is no family history of Parkinson's disease. Mr. Adam Park leads a sedentary lifestyle and is a recently retired accountant. He has lived by himself after his wife's death in 2016 and he has two adult children living in different states in Australia.

Neurological Assessment:
Explain bradykinesia. How would you assess the presence of bradykinesia in Mr. Adam Park?
Explain three other motor neurological symptoms Mr. Park might experience, and how would you assess each of them?
Mr. Park is taking Levodopa. Explain the pharmacology of Levodopa and clinical considerations of this drug to Mr. Park. Discuss the implications of Mr. Park taking over-the-counter cough and cold preparations containing sympathomimetic decongestants in conjunction with Levodopa.
