A software application company is developing a new financial applications package. Because computer processing time is an important decision criterion, the developer wants the new package to have the same features and capabilities as the current market leader while providing results faster than the current leading package. If the new financial package is effective, it will provide the same results as the current market leader but will use less processing time.
As a test of the worthiness of the new software package, an experiment is designed where particular 10 financial applications projects ( n= 10) were used by the new software package as well as by the current market leader. The results are as follows:
