Description of Assignment:
Task 1: Using diagrams and an essay of approximately 600-700 words:-
Draw diagrams of two different organisational structures (Organograms) and evaluate the responsiveness of the two businesses and their structures to customers
Taking each business in turn, evaluate the importance of internal and external communication to themand give an explanation of the role of Management Information systems in their decisionmaking process.
With reference to the assessment criteria, your report should address the following questions:
• What is communication and what are the features and causes of good and unsatisfactoryinternal and external communication?
• What is the importance of positive communicationtechniques in both business situations?
• What is a Management Information System (MIS), how does it contribute automatically to the business needs (in/of an organisation) and what is its role in the business decision making process?
You must base your essay on two different sectors of industry - i.e. Private, Public, Voluntary.
Task 2:
Use the table template supplied and complete it to:-
1. Explain the nature and purpose of business management.
Task 3:
Using an example of a leader of your own choice:
A. In a spider diagram, evaluate their role and contribution as a leader.
B. In a short report evaluate the use of leadership styles in a range of different business situations.
C. Create a short conclusion which shows how role and style are important in/to business management.
