Project Management Assignment - Self Reflection

Use reflective writing to develop your personal leadership model. Include the outcomes and observations from your self-tests from the previous weeks to help reflect on what type of leader you are currently, and what type of leader you perhaps would like to be. Use the following 8 items as guidance to write your reflection.

1. Explain the main organising idea or issue in your leadership model? E.G. credibility, vision, traits, relationships, etc.

2. Describe what you consider to be the most important traits, skills and tasks of an effective leader, and why.

3. Explain the core values that your leadership model emphasizes.

4. Explain what the leadership practiced in your model is seeking to achieve?

5. Explain how the relationships in the organisation/group that exist will benefit as a result of using your leadership model.

6. Describe the culture of the organisation/group that would exist if your model was used.

7. Explain why your leadership model is different than what currently exists? If it is not different, explain why you have elected for the status quo.

8. Explain how you will personally apply your leadership model, or will aim to improve your leadership model.

Your personal leadership model (suggested essay structure):

1. A personal analysis and interpretation of the outcomes of the self-tests. Use these in combination with the first 4 questions to outline your leadership model.

2. Use questions 5 to 8 to demonstrate the added value of your leadership model to the organisation you currently work for.

3. Future direction: how will you start applying the lessons you have learned in the past weeks in your daily life

4. Appendices. Add your results for the self-tests (these are the 7 tests you are triggered to do throughout the course of the unit) that you refer to in point 2 as an appendix.

In your reflection, make sure you cover some of the fields of knowledge that most apply to your situation, such as Culture, Ethics, Decision making, Politics, Philosophy and/or Psychology.
