Consider the following ethical dilemma:

Reed was invited to go skiing with his brother who lives in Flagstaff, AZ. Reed loves to ski and feels it brings him closer to nature and allows him to bond with his brother who he rarely has the chance to see. Once Reed arrives in Flagstaff, he notices "Save the Peaks" bumper stickers on several cars and protestors holding signs close to the resort that say "No Desecration for Recreation" and "Defend the Sacred." He asks around and learns of the vast clear-cutting practices the resort has employed in order to increase customers with new runs and lifts, as well as, the use of municipal reclaimed waste water to artificially make snow. Upon further investigation, Reed also finds that the mountain is held sacred to 13 indigenous tribes who believe that further development and use of waste water desecrates the cultural and historical connections they have with the land. When Reed questions his brother, who frequently skis on the mountain, about the environmental and social costs of the resort, his brother reminds him of the hundred or so local jobs the resort has created, as well as the tourism it brings to Flagstaff, further supporting other local businesses in the process.

Utilizing one (or more) of the ethical frameworks, how would you ethically reason through the above ethical dilemma and advise Reed?
