Case Study

Your client is a rapidly growing tech firm with few seasoned leaders in their young staff of 300 (90% under 25 years old). The client recently landed a major government contract and expect to scale up their workforce to 3,000 employees within a year. The founders recognize many current team leaders in their fairly flat organizational structure are not trained as leaders. The lack of leadership behaviors displayed by current team leaders may be due in part to their early hiring process which was highly tech-skills focused. Results of a recent organization-wide employee satisfaction survey highlighted many deficiencies in current team leader behaviors. The top five issues identified in the survey are: lack of consistent team leader communication, lack of clarity in workforce planning, non-collaborative decision-making, preferential treatment of certain team members by team leaders, team leaders are too directive and not motivating.

Describe the elements of the leadership program (i.e., participant selection, proposed experiences or training topics, instructor/leaders for the program, and method of program evaluation).
