You have recently joined a mid-sized organisation as an HR manager. In the first town hall meeting that you attended, you realized that there was a lot of dissatisfaction amongst the employees.
You decided to meet a few members from different departments and here is what they informed you. Jim, from marketing said that there are high levels of job dissatisfaction amongst his department members but the organisation seems to do nothing about it.
Employees were unhappy with the salaries and benefits. Jim, also informed you that there was high level of stress among the workers and they often felt that the organisation does not support them at all in professional and personal issues.
Ruben from Production informed you that he could not find meaning as he felt that his professional life was leaving him no time whatsoever to spend with family or to pursue any of the hobbies that he had wanted to. He also informed you, that most decision making was centralised and the employees are never really asked their opinions pertaining to any matters or decisions in the organisation. He also said that a few employees had also raised concerns regarding disparity in pay and benefits. He said that he felt the organization did nothing much to ensure health and safety measures.
