A speaker is mounted on a vertical pole at the similar height as your ear. A second speaker is mounted on the same pole, 3.0 meter above the first speaker. These speakers transmit in phase a sound wave of frequency 460 Hertz. Suppose the speed of sound in air is 345 Hz.

1. Explain the interference you hear standing near the pole?

2. As you walk from the pole to a point that is 4.0 meter from the base of the pole, find how many constructive interference maximums and how many destructive interference minimums do you hear?
