Assessment: Case Study Assignment

Task Detail: Students will be required to apply and explain the implications of relevant auditing standards and procedures to specific situations.

Purpose: This assessment will allow students to demonstrate their understanding of auditing standards, procedures and techniques, how they are applied in organisational situations and the implications for stakeholders. The group nature of this assessment will allow students to further develop their team working skills. This assessment contributes to Learning Outcomes.

 Topic:   Auditing and control within organisations.

Task Details: Groups of 4 are to analyse the specific information provided, and respond to the questions set. They should then present their analysis and solutions in a professionally formatted short report.

Research requirements: Students need to support their analysis and solutions recommendations using the current Australian Auditing Standards. The text and a minimum of eight (8) suitable, reliable, current and academically acceptable sources - check with your tutor if unsure of the validity of sources.

Groups seeking Credit or above grades should support their analysis with increased number of reference sources comparable to the grade they are seeking.

Presentation: 2000 words +/- 10% report.
