Case Study: Phillip just read a quote from a well-known politician, Paul Ryan, who said, "We have got this tailspin of culture, in our inner cities in particular, of men not working and just generations of men not even thinking about working or learning the value and the culture of work, and so there is a real culture problem here that has to be dealt with." Phillip recalls that Paul Ryan , like other politicians, often sought to reduce or even eliminate various assistance programs. While Phillip certainly agrees that personal responsibility is important, he also sees larger, societal issues and believes that those, too, should be addressed.
