Qistina Balqees, the owner and founder of a company with 15 employees, has hired you as Human Resource Manager so she can focus on other areas of her business. Five of the 15 employees are expected to retire within two years and the other ten employees are of diverse ages. Due to these concerns, Qistina Balqees believes she may save costs by allowing employees to work from home and even consider closing down the physical office and making her company a virtual organization. Still, she wonders how such a significant change will affect the ability to communicate and worker motivation. She has also considered cutting benefits entirely and having her employees work for her on a contract basis instead of full-time employees. She is not sure if this would be a good choice. Qistina Balqees schedules a meeting with you to discuss some of her thoughts. To prepare for the meeting, you perform research so you can impress your delete boss with recommendations on the challenges presented.
