1. In any negotiation, parties will seek to exercise leverage over each other. Please explain the ethics of using your leverage in a negotiation. When is it unethical to exert leverage over the other party, and when is it entirely ethical to use your leverage?

2. Negotiations with international companies often require cultural competence at the negotiating table. Certain tactics that may be offensive in one country are perfectly reasonable in another, and vice versa. Explain what steps you would take to ensure cultural competency when negotiating with individuals who come from totally different backgrounds than yours.
