Assignment:

In your initial post, you will demonstrate your understanding of the theories we have covered in this course, by explaining the theory you found most plausible, contrasting it with another theory you learned in this course, and applying it to a scenario or moral dilemma from your own life. This post should be substantive - about a page written (around 300 words).

Make sure to fully answer the following:

1. Explain the ethical theory that you found to be most plausible - this should be one of the theories we covered in 2.1, 3.1, or 4.1 rather than something related to one of the applied ethics topics covered in 2.2, 3.2, and 4.2. Make sure to explain the theory and your reasoning in detail. Then, explain why you think it is more likely to be correct than one of the other theories we discussed by referring to each theory's basic principles.

2. Give a brief explanation of how you could apply this theory to a specific scenario or moral dilemma that you have encountered at work or in your own life. Make sure to explain the scenario in enough detail that your application of the theory is clear. When applying the theory, be sure to clearly explain what one committed to that theory would recommend that you do in that situation. Additionally, explain whether you fully agree with the theory here or whether you disagree with some aspects of the theory.
