Thesis: For me personally, I relate with psychological theory and culture theory. In Chapter of the textbook it explains that "Psychological theories emphasize the internal psychological processes triggered by early childhood experiences with one's body and interpersonal interactions with primary caregivers" (Palczewski, DeFrancisco, McGeough 69). The opportunities and experiences that I had as a child have shaped the way that I express my gender. Cultural theory is defined as "Critical/cultural theories emphasize the role broad cultural institutions and norms play in the construction and maintenance of gender" (Palczewski, DeFrancisco, McGeough 69).
