Review the details of the John Jones v. Susan Smith case. Draft a letter to Susan Smith in which you explain the different types of evidentiary rules that might apply to witness statements, the admission of police reports and medical records limit the discovery process as it relates to her case. You will "discover" that the discovery process takes a lot of advanced planning and that the court will frequently, and not so subtly, "push" that process along.

In the course of litigation, we often write several types of letters to clients. This letter is an informative letter. We are informing the client about how certain evidentiary rules apply to specific types of evidence.

Discuss witness rules, police reports, and medical evidence. Please see the attached sample letter. The sample letter deals with privilege. You are not writing about the issue of privilege. You are writing about the issues relating to the admissibility of evidence related to witness testimony and witness statements, police reports and medical records. The letter is an example. The letter does have some errors, e.g. Very Truly Yours vs Very truly yours, or Truly yours.
