Wild busigots have a buzz sounding mating call. Most busigots make a low pitched buzzing sound and a few make a high pitched buzzing sound. Pitch is controlled by the gene Buz (B).

The B1 allele is 1721 base pairs long, the mature mRNA is 1003 bp long, and the polypeptide made from the mRNA is 320 amino acids long.

The B2 allele is 1721 base pairs long, the mature mRNA is 1003 base pairs long and the polypeptide made from the mRNA is 150 amino acids long.

B2 comes from a mutation of B1; they are identical except one area where there has been a mutation.

What type of mutation could explain the difference in polypeptide size (for example your answer could be something like "a deletion that changes one amino acid")? Explain your answer.
