There are a number of factors that tend to contribute to conditions of poverty for people, groups, and nations. A few of them would include:

- Unequal power relations between identifiable groups

- Rigid stratification (large gaps between groups)

- Low technology

- Traditional value and culture systems (resistant to change)

- Population growth faster than economic growth

- Gender inequality in rights and opportunities

- Successful members leaving the community

In a 500-750-word essay, give specific examples of how the above factors might produce conditions of poverty and conditions for an immigrant group coming into American society.
