SCENARIO: A 9-year-old male was brought to the pediatric emergency department, after the onset of a seizure involving tonic-clonic movements that lasted an estimated 2 minutes. Once they arrived in the emergency department and were stabilized although their consciousness did not return afterwards. no known health history although their parents informed Emergency Department staff of her nausea, vomiting, and fever in the previous evening. they were admitted overnight and tests were being conducted. 24 hours after the first, another seizur occurred lasting 3 minutes.
