The reaction, MnO2(s) + 4 HCl(aq) → MnCl2(aq) + Cl2(g) + H2O(l) was being studied. 12.2 g of MnO2 were reacted with 70.0 ml of 2.50 M HCl solution. Explain the chlorine produced was collected in a vessel. The pressure measured 0.971atm at a temperature of 78.2oC. Find out the volume of chlorine produced if the theoretical yield was obtained.
