Two small portions of Aspirin samples are placed into a beaker with 10 ml of water and 10 drops of concentrated H2S04. The sample is heated on hot plate. When the sample is ready to boil, the beaker is removed and the reaction is allowed to settle for a moment. What reaction has taken place? Provide the chemical equation. Hint: Since the reaction involves concentrated acid, then it must dehydration of water.
