You answered all the questions very efficiently and it was very easy to read. When you talked about the Nationalists and how they had to believe in the same goal, I thought of working in a group or team and having to all follow the same goals. If one person is feeling left out or not on the same page as the other group members, productivity and outcomes are going to be lower. I think it would be very difficult to start nations and know how they should be divided. It seems like common sense now since we are used to the way the nations are divided already and they all seem to work. Also, I think today people in the US military really do care about their nation and the freedom they represent. I was in the Navy for 4 years and we were definitely not in search of money."

"It is true that once the European powers left Latin America, they were not experienced at all to govern themselves. They could not maintain a stable economy and their governments kept either crumbling or being overthrown. I would add that there was a lot of competition between politicians and that multiple times one would remove another with force and sometimes it could go as far as forcing them to leave the country. Once a caudillo took power, with their respectable policies they were able to rule for longer periods until another came along to disband his regime. With all the violence and force, I agree that military played quite a big role with the instability of the nation's economy and government."
