We have spent the first part of the semester reviewing and discussing the various theories and causes of delinquent behavior.

Choose the one or two (at most) theory/theories that you feel are most responsible for causing delinquent behavior and briefly discuss the factors of the theory/ies and explain why you think that it is the most responsible for causing delinquent behavior (300 Words).

For this assignment, there is not necessarily a right or wrong answer, I am more concerned with your discussion on why you chose the specific theory. Reflection Paper 1 will be submitted in the discussion board (like a regular discussion), but you are not to comment on each other's posts.

Labeling Theory

In my reflection paper, I will be writing about labeling theory. Labeling Theory is the view of deviance according to which being labeled as a deviant leads a person to engage in deviant behavior.

Labeling theory suggests that people come to identify and behave in ways that reflect how others label them" (Crossman, 2018).
