The result of psychopathology is caused by many factors, such as biological components (genetics, hormones, receptors, and chemical structures of the brain), family history of mental illness, medical conditions, environment, and socioeconomic status play a crucial role in influencing psychopathology. Biological components, in conjunction with one's environment and socioeconomic background, play a massive role in how we perceive and interact. Brain functionality and its vulnerability also predispose us to mental or behavioral disorders like depression or anxiety. Understanding neuroscientific genetics and hereditary traits and symptoms are crucial to knowing how properly diagnose and treat. Treating psychological disorders are based on specific symptoms required for diagnosis based on DSM-5-TR criteria, lab analysis, and more advanced research diagnostics such as MRI can result in responses to treatment.
Social, Cultural, and Interpersonal Factors
Awareness, respect, and sensitivity of one's culture, socioeconomic class, race, age, gender, and sexual orientation is essential in treating psychopathology, as this could cause emotional tension making treatment more difficult. Many factors affect one's mental disorder, and the advanced nurse must explore and understand each element over the lifespan.
