A glass tube barometer of uniform cross-sectional area has a bit of air trapped above the mercury. The inside length of the tube above the mercury reservoir at the base is 100 cm. When the actual pressure is 76.25 cm Hg the barometer reads 74.89 cm. What will the barometer read when the actual pressure is 73.27 cm of mercury?
