The balanced chemical reaction for the titration performed in this lab demonstration is: NaCOOH(aq)+NaOH(aq)=Na(CH3COO)(aq)+H2O(l). A basic solution has positive ions and OH- ions like Na+ and OH-. Acid solutions have H3O+ and negative ions like CH3COOH + H20 -> H3O+ + CH3COO-. When basic and acid mix, positive and negative ions will bond: Na+ + CH3COO- -> CH3COO-Na+(aq) and the H3O+ and OH- will also bond.
A certain compound is made up of three chlorine atoms, one phosphorus atom, and one oxygen atom.
If 3.25 L of ammonia react with an excess of oxygen to form nitrogen monoxide and water steam, what volume of water steam will be produced? The pressure and temperature stay constant. A. 2.04 L B. 2.17 L C. 3.33 L D. 4.14 L E. 4.88 L e is righ one
What is the pressure of the excess gas when the reaction is complete if 5g of H2 and 10g of O2 react in a 15L container at a constant temp of 25 degrees C? I understand
If the reaction N2(g) + 3H2(g) ! 2NH3(g) is carried out at constant temperature and pressure, how much H2 is required to react with 6.4 L liters of N2.
If 158 mL of wet H2 is collected over water at 24C and a barometric pressure of 737 torr, how many grams of Zn have been consumed?
When calcium carbonate is added to the solution of organic acids, the following compounds form: calcium methanoate salt from the methanoic acid; calcium ethanoate from the ethanoic acid; and calcium phenoxide salt from the phenol.
what is the chemical equation that describes both these reactions? Please give the chemical equations of what happens in this situation
Find the molarity of a Ca(OH)2 solution, given that 363 mL of it is neutralized in a titration by 187 mL of 0.0058 M HNO3.
Using the average bond dissociation enthalpies(BE) given, estimate the standard molar heat of reaction of the gas-phase reaction of hydrogen peroxide with methanol to yield formaldehyde and water:
what is the relative error in the determination of a density for which the accepted value is 0.945 g*cm^-3 and the experimental value
The freezing point for t-butanol is 25.50 degrees C and kf is 9.1 degrees C/m. Usually t-butanol absorbs water on exposure to the air. If the freezing point of a 10.0 g sample of t-butanol is measured as 24.59 degrees C, how many grams of water ar..
