Assessment Task 1
Activity 1
For this Activity, you are required to write notes on: use of leadership techniques and strategies at JKL Industries to:
facilitate team cohesion and work outcomes
- encouraging and fostering shared understanding of purpose, roles and responsibilities identifying and resolving problems providing feedback to encourage,alue and reward
- modelling desired behaviour and practices
To assist you with this Activity, you are provided with business documents of JKL Industries (Attachment 1).
o Show your draft notes to your Trainer for feedback, incorporate any changes appropriate and submit your final written notes to your Assessor for summative evidence.
During this Activity, you will be observed by your Assessor demonstrating the following-. Establish team performance plan by:
Consulting team members to establish a common understanding of team purpose, roles, responsibilities and accountabilities in accordance with organisational goals, plans and objectives
Developing performance plans to establish expected outcomes, outputs, key performance indicators (KPIs) and goals for work team
Supporting team members in meeting expected performance outcomes
Activity 2.
For this Activity, you will develop policies and procedures to ensure team members take responsibility for own work and assist others to undertake required roles and responsibilities. You are required to follow the policy writing style of JKL Industries you will then write notes to establish processes to address issues and resolve performance issues
o Show your draft policy and procedure document and notes to your Trainer for feedback, incorporate any changes appropriate and submit your final policy procedure document and notes to your Assessor for summative evidence.
During this Activity, you will be observed by your Assessor demonstrating the following: Develop and facilitate team cohesion by:
Developing strategies to ensure team members have input into planning, decision making and operational aspects of work team
Developing policies and procedures to ensure team members take responsibility for own work and assist others to undertake required roles and responsibilities
Providing feedback to team members to encourage, value and reward individual and team efforts and contributions
Developing processes to ensure that issues, concerns and problems identified by team members are recognised and addressed
For this Activity, you will develop and conduct a PowerPoint presentation to support team at JKL Industries to: meet expected performance outcomes including providing formal and informal learning opportunities as needed you will then develop performance plans with key performance indicators (KPIs), outputs and goals for individuals or the team which incorporate input from stakeholders (your Assessor will role-play a stakeholder)
o Show your draft PowerPoint slides and performance plans to your Trainer for feedback, incorporate any changes appropriate and submit your finalised slides and performance plans to your Assessor for summative evidence
During this Activity, you will be observed by your Assessor demonstrating the following: Facilitate teamwork by: n Encouraging team members and individuals to participate in and to take responsibility for team activities, including communication processes
Supporting the team in identifying and resolving work performance problems
- Ensuring own contribution to work team serves as a role model for others and enhances the organisation's image for all stakeholders
Activity 4.
For this activity, you will liaise with stakeholders (your Assessor) for each occasion and then write notes.

- evaluate and take necessary corrective action regarding unresolved issues, concerns and problems raised by internal or external stakeholders (your Assessor)
o Show your notes to your Trainer for feedback, incorporate any changes appropriate and submit your finalised notes to your Assessor for summative evidence. During this Activity, you will be observed by your Assessor demonstrating the following: Liaise with stakeholders by:
- Establishing and maintain open communication processes with all stakeholders
- Communicating information from line manager/management to the team
- Communicating unresolved issues, concerns and problems raised by team members and follow up with line manager/management and other relevant stakeholders
- Evaluating and take necessary corrective action regarding unresolved issues, concerns and problems raised by internal or external stakeholders
Assessment Task 2
Student Information:
- You are instructed to read the following questions and seek for guidance from your Assessor for any unsure sections for clarification.
- Please print your answers for each question on separate sheet, making sure that your name, your student ID, Unit Name and code, question number and date of submission are included on your answer sheet.
- Before submitting your answer sheet to your Assessor, please provide it to your Assessor for feedback and incorporate any changes accordingly.
- Your Assessor will deem each answer as either S - Satisfactory or NS - Not Satisfactory.
- In the event that you are deemed NS - Not Satisfactory, you will receive feedback from your Assessor and you then will be required re-submit the answer/s on a separate page. (Ensure that your name, your student ID, Unit Name and code, question number and date of submission on your re-submitted answer).
- Only when have answered all the questions 5- satisfactorily you then will be deemed S -Satisfactory for this Assessment Task.
For this Assessment Task you will be required to answer the questions on a separate, typed sheet:

Question 2. Outline strategies that can support team cohesion, participation and performance
Question 3. Explain strategies for gaining consensus
