Scenario

You are a carer for Acacia Aged Care providing in home support to the elderly. One of your clients is Ahmed Kumar. Ahmed is an elderly man who lives alone and has limited mobility. Ahmed uses a walker to move around his home. You help Ahmed with showering 3 mornings a week.

When you arrive at Ahmed's home at 12 Bluegum Pl, Penrith, at 8.30am you find him lying on the bathroom floor. He tells you he can't get up and he has been there all night. He is very cold and his right leg is badly bruised and bleeding. You know he is on medication to thin his blood. He is also coughing and complaining of a sore throat. You notice he keeps biting his hands as he talks to you.
