Can someone please help me figure out how to start to do this question? I need the logic explained and I need to see how to progressively go about each step so that it makes sense to me.
A 25ml sample of solution containing thallium(I) (TI) was treated with K2CrO4 to perticipate thallium chromate. The solid TI2CrO4 was filtered, washed to remove excess chromate, and then dissolved in dilute H2SO4. The dicromate (Cr2O7-2) produced was titrated with 40.60ml of 0.1004M Fe2+ solution. What was the mass (g) of TI (element 81)in the sample?
if the molarity of the HCl solution was actually greater then the lable indicated would it affect the calculated value for the number of moles of HCl that reacted.
Calculate the molar mass of the uknown compound. The boiling point elevation constant for water is0.52°C/m
Why do primary alkyl halides typically undergo SN2 substitution reactions more rapidly than do secondary or tertiary alkyl halides?
If, when you are extracting an aqueous solution with an organic solvent, you are uncertain as to which layer in the separatory funnel is aqueous, how could you quickly settle the issue?
When cyclopentane is exposed to Br2 in the presence of light, reaction occurs. Write the formulas of all possible monobromination products. Draw molecule by placing atoms on grid.
Use equations to obtain expressions for the following partial derivative for a diatomic ideal gas, assuming that the temp of the system is sufficiently low that only translational and rotational motions are thermally active.
A bottle of 6 M acid has 34.3 mL remaining in it. If the acid is diluted to 770 mL, what is the new concentration of the acid.
You are doing research and the reaction you need to run is limited by the amount of alcohol you have. 3,3-diethyl-2-pentanol will be dehydrated to form alkenes. Give balanced equation and calculate the theoretical yield if you have 5.00mL of alcoh..
To obtain the same antifreeze protection requires 76 g of propylene glycol to replace each 62 g of ethylene glycol. Calculate the mass of propylene glycol required to replace
A student mixed 5.00 mL of a nickel(2) chloride solution with 5.00 mL of .100M sodium phosphate and a precipitate formed. How many moles of sodium phospahte were present in 5.00 mL of the solution?
Evaluate the operating conditions of the chiller - what temperature must the chiller operate if the product streams are also at 1 atm total pressure?
If a saturated solution of silver nitrate at 20 degrees celsius contains 216g AgNO3 per 100g of water, what mass of water could contain 725g of this solute at the same temperature.
