The raw sewage of a wastewater treatment plant has a BOD5 of 230 mg/L and suspended solids of 350 mg/L. Estimate the BOD5 and suspended solids concentrations in the primary effluent (assume typical removal efficiency for both parameters). How many kilograms per day of both parameters are removed if the flowrate of the treatment plant is 50,000 m3/d?
