A number of health behaviors have been shown to explain sex differences in mortality and morbidity. They include risky behaviors such as alcohol and drug use, smoking, poor diet and lack of exercise. Our culture is becoming increasingly health conscious and places emphasis on diet and exercise. In spite of this trend, why do you think rates of obesity have increased?
