Assignment:

My public health issue is food insecurity in Eastern and Central NC. I have chosen to research for my policy or program evaluation. I will be using Food Bank of Eastern and Central NC as my program evaluation.

One theoretical framework that is highly applicable to the health issue of food insecurity is the Sustainable Livelihoods Framework (SLF). or can use Another theoretical framework that could be applied to address the chosen public health issue of food insecurity is the Social Determinants of Health (SDOH) framework.

Please help me with a health equity assessment that analyzes social determinants of health, the role of social and behavioral health science frameworks, and how differing viewpoints affect the policy or program.

1. Health Equity Analysis: Use evidence-based secondary sources and knowledge gained throughout the program to further analyze the extent of the health issue. Be sure to evaluate the efficacy of the research you review. Your health equity analysis should include but not be limited to the following:

1. Describe the extent to which the social determinants of health affect and are taken into consideration within the policy or program. How do they correlate with social justice and equity?
2. Explain the roles social and behavioral health science frameworks, theories, concepts, or models play in order to impact behavior change, justifying with academic resources.
3. Which theoretical framework or model does the policy or program follow? Do you agree, or would you suggest using a different one to support the work of this policy or program? Be sure to support your explanation with specific examples from credible sources.
4. Identify an alternative viewpoint, such as a stakeholder might have, on the public health issue addressed by the policy or program, and justify evidence that would support the viewpoint. Explain a plan for addressing differing viewpoints and suggest ways the policy or program could be altered to meet the needs of both parties.

2. Evaluation: help define and defend the method I have chosen to evaluate your policy or program, then carry out the evaluation by answering in detail the questions appropriate for your chosen evaluation. My evaluation should include but not be limited to the following:

• Explain the type of evaluation method I have chosen to evaluate my selected policy or program (formative, process, outcome, or impact), and define what goals this evaluation will meet.
• List the evaluation questions that will be addressed using my selected evaluation method. Examples of questions that may be asked can be found in the "Evaluation Questions by Method" document found in the resource section of your learning environment.
• Provide a written evaluation by answering each question with appropriate detail.Please cite your references?
