In air and according to Stokes Law, the settling rate of particles is proprotional to the squares of their diameters, if they have the same densities. If emitted particles with a given diameter are found to settle out after 7 days, how long would it take a particle of the same material with 1x the diameter to settle out?

t2/t1 = (d1/d2)2
t2 = t1(d1/d2)2
t2 = 7(d1/1d1)2
t2 = 7(1)2
t2 = 7
