Suppose you live in an alternate universe where a different set of quantum numbers is required to describe the atoms in that universe. The quantum number rules in the alternative universe are:
Principal quantum number: n=1,2,3,....
Angular momentum quantum number: l=0,2,4.....[2(n-1)]
Magnetic quantum number: m(l)=0, +/-1, +/-2
How many orbitals are there in the first five electron shells? Sketch an energy level diagram that could be filled in with electrons.
