A sample with an unknown quantity of an analyte with a molecular mass of 71.24g/mol was dissolved in 250mL of ethanol. Then 5.0mL was withdrawn and diluted to 200mL. The spectrum of this solution exhibited a maximum absorbance of 0.642 units at 554nm in a 2cm cell. The molecular absorbance , e, is 423 M-1cm-1. What is the mass of the analyte in grams?
