Problem:

We learned of the differences between qualitative research and quantitative research. This is a very important topic when deciding your path in both business education and towards a career. When students' often ask me, "what direction should I go in?", I always ask them about their preferred method of research. If you are a statistical person with a strong foundation in mathematics, you may be more inclined toward quantitative analysis methods. Do you enjoy math and spreadsheets? Others may be more attracted to the open-ended and often more flexible nature of qualitative research. As someone who has been the head of a high-school English department, but also has worked in sports analytics for years, I'm somewhere in the middle.

How would you describe yourself, and why? What characteristics do you have that support your conclusion? Please go into as much detail as you are able to, as this will also provide me additional context for understanding you and your motivations!
