4. A few years ago, the Pope made news by affirming the validity of the scientific theory of evolution (a position that, despite the hype, goes back at least as far as Pope Pius XII in 1950). On the other hand, according to a 2013 Pew survey, 64% of white Evangelical Protestants reject evolution. In a couple of sentences, explain why the Catholic church is more willing to accept evolution and some other results of modern science (including critical biblical scholarship!) than many traditional Protestant denominations are.
