A peripheral device is a device that is connected to a computer system but is not part of the core computer system architecture (Peripherals Devices in Computer Organization, 2023). The peripheral device provides input/output functions to a computer. The peripheral devices that I have connected to my computer are dual monitors, mouse, speakers, and printer. The dual monitors are the latest upgrade, and they provide a better view of all the different pages I was up at once. The screen on my laptop is 13", so now having that plus two 31" monitor I'm able to see everything I want all at once. The speakers provide better sound than the laptop speakers. The mouse is more convenient than the trackpad. Then the printers function is to give me a paper copy if I need one. If I was talking to a customer and the wanted to connect a printer, second monitor and a headset, I would start with the printer first. The printer comes with its own cord to connect in the back of the printer, and then the other side is a usb that can plug into their computer. The headset also has an usb to plug into the computer. Plugging in a second monitor depends on if your computer can handle it, and what type of connections you have allotted to you. With a MacBook pro, you could use a thunderbolt to dvi cord and then it can display up to two monitors. Troubleshooting those connections would consist of making sure that they were pressed all the way in.
