1. Branches of Government:(Pick one: Executive, Legislative, or Judicial). Legislative

A. One strength of one of the three branches of government.

(Use the space below to complete this section.)

One of the strengths that the Legislative branch has is the power to make laws in this country. Congress can come up with a law and the President can veto it, however, Congress can override his veto. The President cannot make any laws, and he has to turn to Congress to help in passing a law.

B. One weakness of one of the three branches of government.

(Use the space below to complete this section.)

One weakness of the Congress in my opinion is that they are too big. There are 535 voting members in Congress, making up of 434 Representatives and 100 Senators. This cause the general public to not knowing each individual members of the Congress, and therefore, having a hard time getting the public to pay attention to a new laws or changes that they want to introduce to our country.

C. One option to maintain the strength of the branch of government discussed above.

(Use the space below to complete this section.)

To maintain the strength that I mentioned above, it's very important for Congress to review each bill introduced by the President very carefully, make sure that it is best fit for the citizen of this country and that it will benefit them more than the government. It was a good decision for Congress to pass the "ObamaCare" health insurance system to allow individual with low income to have health care coverage that they weren't able to obtain previously.

D. One option to correct the weakness of the branch of government discussed above.

(Use the space below to complete this section.)

To correct the mentioned weakness of Congress, they would need to get involve more with the public and allow us to get to know them more. This will help Congress when it's time to introduce a new bill, they will have a great support from the general public, which in turn, will help the President to sign it off.
