Assignment:

Arthur and Harold have known each other for years and recently Harold told Arthur that Harolds son, Steve, has been drinking too much. Steve had applied for a job application at Arthurs work. Arthur did some digging and found pictures on Facebook of Steve appearing intoxicated under a parody album named AA. He also has a video of him stealing beer and smoking cannabis.

Arthur put Steves job application in the reject pile. Arthur then searched online for all of the 21-45 year old applicants. He eliminated all applicants, except for a few. He didn't want alcoholics, drug addicts, religious fanatics, people who spoke Spanish or lose women.

1. Explain one ethical theory or approach that Arthur could use justify his actions. Explain one ethical theory or approach that would argue against Arthurs actions? In your answer, be sure to define and explain the ethical theory you selected and how it could be applied to reach a conclusion about the ethical nature of Arthurs actions. Be sure to conclude with which perspective is more persuasive and why.

2. Make a list of the laws Arthur may have broken. This list should briefly explain the law (at least a sentence or two) and explain, based on the information above, the likelihood that the law had been broken.
