Levels of Ethical Analysis
Ethical analysis is the evaluation of the results of the operations of management and representatives of society. Reflectively examining different perspectives and arguments about today's issues is the real importance of ethical analysis. When someone manages ethically, the leader can guide employees through ethical practices and behaviors to make decisions that benefit the employees and the organization. Hence, management can apply ethical reasoning, including integrity, fairness, value, and care, in decision-making.
The three levels of moral analysis consist of macro, meso, and micro in which they interrelate with one another. Bowman and West (2021) explain that to analyze progress at the macro level, you have to look at populations, markets, and authorities. Thus, macro environments are political, economic, social, technical, legal, and environmental. Bowman and West (2021) explain meso level is bureaucratic or departmental and see the experiences of the organization.
Thus, the meso level of ethical analysis is the strategy, rules, and guidelines, which are the infrastructure of the organization. Bowman and West (2021) said that the micro level is composed of individuals. Thus, the individual must reflect on their own behavior and the rights of others as a part of the organization known as every man's decision-making. Bowman and West (2021) explain the ethical levels intersect because the macro level affects macro-meso and meso-micro because strategies in rules, regulations, and morals correspond to the responses of the organization, and appropriate conduct in leadership honors each person and group's ethical compatibility.
Thus, each level impact and responds to the other level's ethics. The ethical level I chose is the meso level and the factors that influence moral behavior at this level are peace, conflict, and violence. The meso level is the organization's medium that alludes to the connection, interaction, and coordination of social roles. I need to reply to this student post.
