Evaluation Criteria Q1. a) What are the elements of a valid Contract? Explain with reference to Employment Contract in Oman citing at least 2 relevant Royal Decrees. (12 marks) b) Vehicle Leasing Company (VLC) offers heavy duty trucks on lease to PDO contractor- Ruqn Al Yaqeen for Oil Rig transportation in PDO at the cost of RO 7,500 per month. Payment has been made in advance as per the contract. However, as the truck arrives on site, Ruqn Al Yaqeen finds out that the truck has a capacity of only 15 Tons whereas Rig weighs 20 Tons. Ruqn Al Yaqeen seeks refund of the advance paid but VLC refuses to refund the amount saying that it had not given any express undertaking that the truck will be suitable for the job. Comment on the case as per the Contract Law. (4 marks)
