Students are returning to campus for the academic year 2021-2022. The administrators of many universities are considering implementing certain practices to better protect the health of students, staff, and faculty while keeping students on campus. Some practices may raise privacy concerns. For example, some universities are discussing the required use of contact-tracing apps provided by Apple and Google, so if a student is tested positive for COVID-19, others who have been in contact with the student will be notified. Some universities will conduct regularly weekly COVID tests for all students, staff, and faculty on campus.

Imagine that the leadership at Weber State University is looking for guidance on how to respect students' privacy while keeping the university in operation.
