your are testing iron levels in multivitamins using spectrophotometry. the tablet your given has a mass of 10.0866 grams, and from this you took 8.0693 gram portion. This portion is dissolved in acidic media before diluting to 250.0mL in distilled water. from this you take a 1.00mL aliquot and dilute this to 200.0mL in distilled water. the sample is analyzed by the spectrophotometer, and gives you the absorbance reading of .422. A solvent blank gives a reading of .002. the blank corrected standard curve has the equation 'y=5.726 x 10^-3x', where the x-axis scale is in micrograms of Fe.... from this information, find the original amount of iron (in milligrams) in the tablet.
