Assignment:

Imagine you are the teacher from the article "Grades are Not Paramount to Student Achievement". Write a letter to parents to be given on the first day of school that explains your grading policy (no grading for the first four weeks; just providing feedback). In the letter, be sure to explain extrinsic and intrinsic motivation and what you hope to accomplish by not grading in the beginning of the term.

Requirements:

Your letter should be 1 to 1 1/2 pages in length in MLA format.
Be sure you explain intrinsic and extrinsic motivation.
Be sure to explain WHY you are grading this way. Use your knowledge from Daniel Pink's research and Ted Talk to help you explain why.
