ASSIGNMENT DETAILS
Purpose:
This assignment aims at ensuring that students are able to analyse one international case, be able to explain international business legal issues that were violated and examine how the dispute was settled.
A. Group Presentation

• Subject matter and legal issues of the case (analyse the specific relevant international trade regulation(s) that were violated. The regulation(s) could include relevant municipal laws, treaties, conventions or agreements).
• Explain the relevant law, jurisdiction, or tribunal, or legal precedent
• Outline the potential arguments from the perspectives of all involved stakeholders (this can include the likely response or rebuttal in opposition to the argument)
• Summary of report and decisions of the tribunal or court
• Explain the economic importance of the case in the context of international business.
• Explain the impact of the regulations as applied to this case for an Australian company that may be impacted thereby
• Present a company strategy to your Board of Directors on how your firm can avoid such a crisis in future.
• Conclusion
2. Detailed requirements of the assignment
You are a group of advisors to the Management Board in your company that was accused of violating international trade regulations. As advisors you are to present a report to the Board of Directors
3. International business case law selection guidelines
(i) Choose an International business case law from the list below.
(ii) Two groups MUST not research on one identical International trade case law
(iii) The International business case law selection will be first come basis
(iv) Send email to your Lecturer for approval of the International trade case law
(v) 10% penalty will apply to those Group (s) with no International business case law approval
i. This report should provide useful information for your MNE's Management Board. It should use a variety of resources, including the textbook, newspapers, industry reports and the ABS.
ii. Furthermore, your report should include headings and sub-headings.
