PATIENT SCENARIO
Ronnie is brought into your local community nursing post by his girlfriend, Birdie, in a very distressed and depressive state. Birdie tells you that she is concerned as Ronnie is presenting as having a major depressive episode as she has seen him like this in the past.
Ronnie Jack- a non- indigenous 27-year-old who is currently living with the McDonald family. He is originally from Victoria and is very close with his family but is unable to travel home due to interstate border closures from Covid. He has a history of alcohol abuse and recently been released from jail. He has just started his mechanic apprenticeship. He is sober and undertaking AA classes and seeing a psychologist, PMHx of Bipolar. He presents as being agitated and teary.
